LPMuds are also called Multi-User Dungeons. I've been playing muds since about 1988/1989. I briefly played one called Wintermute and then some friends opened Darker Realms so I went there instead. . I've been playing on DR off and on since 1989. (Lately more off than on, but I still <3 it anyway.)

Sometime in 1993 I took a break from Muds and didn't start back up until early 1998. This time I started on Viking Mud, located in Norway. I recommend both muds, but if you're playing from the states, Viking can get somewhat laggy.

In July '99 some of my friends from Viking deserted me and started playing Islands of Myth. This is a fairly fantastic mud, though really hard to start out in. I was fairly lucky that I already had friends on it that were willing to drag me around, most people aren't that lucky. I highly recommend it, but again, it's kinda difficult in the beginning.

If you happen to visit any of the muds, you can usually find me online. Although depending on what's going on at home, I might (usually) be idle. Here are some characters to look for:

Ok, so that's not all my characters, I have 4 other characters on DR and 11 others on Viking, but I'm not going to list them all ;)

If you're new or old to muds, you should get a client, get zMud. It's the best client out there, and, believe me I think I've tried almost all of them. (Especially when I find something I want zMud to do, and I can't figure out how to get it to do it.) (Notice I didn't say that it wouldn't do it, just that I couldn't figure out how ;)

Guess that's about it, I'd tell you to ask me to help you out, should you start mudding at either of the two places I'll be, but I'm not always newbie friendly (Depends on my mood ;) however, I can usually point you to someone that is. ;)
